Trainee Financial Adviser – Manchester City Centre - £45,000 

A leading, forward-thinking financial planning firm is looking for an ambitious Trainee Financial Adviser to join their growing Manchester-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner or technically skilled financial services professional looking to take the next step in their career and become a Financial Adviser. 

The role:
Working alongside senior advisers, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting clients, preparing and presenting advice, and building long-term relationships. You’ll receive structured training, mentoring, and full study support as you transition into an advisory role within a successful and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities (Initially):
  • Liaising with existing client bank and liaising with new and potential financial planning clients
  • Responsible for the initial client meetings 
  • Conducting fact finds, identifying objectives and assessing attitude to risk 
  • Working with other Advisers and Paraplanners to create tailored financial plans

Key Responsibilities (Within 6 months): 
  • Servicing existing clients 
  • Delivering tailored financial advice across across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning
  • Cash flow planning 
  • Meeting agreed performance metrics while maintaining an exceptional level of service  
  • Staying up to date with regulatory and industry developments.

The person:
  • Experience in financial planning, paraplanning, or a client-facing support role
  • Strong technical understanding of pensions, investments, and protection
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, and eager to develop into an advisory role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) or equivalent
