Working in partnership with a family run, utility services business which has been in business for 50years, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Technical Author to join their very successful team based in Balcombe.  The role is permanent and full-time and you must hold a full driving license.

Role Purpose
To produce all areas of ‘Handover Documentation’ to clients required standard. This will involve liaising with the Site Team and external suppliers, producing documentation such as Operations & Maintenance Manuals, Training Plans, Health & Safety Files and Asset Data Registers.

Duties in the role will include:

• Technical Authoring of:

O&M Manuals
H&S Files
Training Plans
Asset Data Register

• Working to tight deadlines.
• Liaising with others.
• Ability to attend operational & in-construction sites.
• Printing & general admin tasks.
• Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post.

Key Competencies

• Experience of producing required Technical Handover Documentation and meeting deadlines
• Knowledge of the water industry and of construction sites H&S rules.
• Due to the locations of the works a full driving license is necessary.
• Must be able to work to own initiative and as part of a team.
• With hybrid working must be self-motivational.
• Competent with Microsoft Office packages.
• CSCS EUSR National Water Hygiene is desirable.
