(JM27) Construction Supervisor

Balcombe | £42,000.00 Per Annum

Working in partnership with a family run, utility services business which has been in business for 50years, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Construction Supervisor to join their very successful team based in Balcombe.  The role is permanent and full-time.

Role Purpose
To supervise operations of Subcontractors on site on a day-to-day basis to ensure the project comes in safely, to the highest quality and on time and in budget.

Role Responsibilities
  • Ensuring site safety and environmental compliance by making daily inspections and recording thereof.
  • Monitoring progress of the project
  • Maintaining quality control procedures
  • Keeping staff motivated and focused.
  • Problem solving
  • Ensure that company processes and procedures are always complied with.
  • Ownership of ensuring that all defects/snags are recorded and closed off, internally and by the supply chain.
  • Ensuring that the site is always safe and environmentally compliant.
  • Direct the subcontract team demonstrating strong knowledge of construction processes and health and safety procedures.

Key Competencies
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a site supervisor role within the water industry
  • Essential Qualifications: SSSTS or SMSTS CSCS card, EUSR Water Hygiene Card, Emergency First Aid at Work
  • To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate, and engaging approach.
  • You will have good writing and analytical skills and have solid experience in taking full responsibility and leadership.
  • Confident in challenging others to uphold company procedures & policies. Strong understanding of CDM & H&S requirements.

In return you will receive a salary of circa £42,000 per annum - depending on experience, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, plus many other benefits including:
