Senior Sales Administrator (Fixed Term Contract)This role is offered on a fixed-term contract until the end of May 2025, with the potential for further opportunities within the business.
Seeking an experienced Senior Sales Administrator to support the busy sales function at the Furness Vale site. Working as part of a friendly, on-site team, you will act as the first point of contact for our customers and play a key role in liaising with the production team to ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and met.
This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role where clear, proactive communication is essential. You will manage a high volume of customer queries via phone and email, responding promptly, resolving issues, and managing expectations. Our customers can be demanding, so you will need to be confident, resilient, and skilled at handling challenging requests in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for customers, confirming order details, lead times, and responding to queries
- Liaise closely with the Production Manager to communicate customer requirements
- Manage detailed requirement schedules for key customers
- Book collections through transport portals
- Enter sales orders and raise sales invoices using Sage Line 50
- Answer incoming calls as the first point of contact for the business
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally
- Provide general office and administrative support as required
Key Skills & Experience
- Personable and approachable, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
- Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Good IT skills, including Excel and Word (experience with Sage is an advantage but not essential)
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and manage customer expectations
- Experience dealing with automotive clients is desirable but not essential
